Design

This is what a site of ours looks like.

A bistro, a cocktail bar, an architecture studio and a shop. Four different brands, one hand behind them: structure you read at a glance, typography chosen for each one, colours drawn out of the photographs, and everything that holds a site up, from the menu to the form that responds.

The sites

What you see below is running inside the frame: you scroll it, you open the menu, you fill in the form. These are not screenshots. Switch between desktop and phone to see the same page in both.

  • Evening bistro  /  Bucharest

    Zăbavă

Restaurant site, with a menu and reservations

    Zăbavă

    The decision you can see

The menu is text, not a picture: it can be read by eye or by a screen reader, it translates, it turns up in Google and, above all, the chef changes it every month without calling a designer. Photography stays for the atmosphere.

    What to watch

    • The reservation form is filled in and confirmed on the spot
    • The month's menu, prices included, as real text
    • Navigation folds into a phone menu below 640px

    Palette

    • Evening claret #6E2F35
    • Copper #B4784A
    • Candlelight #E0A458
    • Cream #F4EDE4
    • Ink #231B1A

    Typography

    • Cormorant Garamond Headings
    • Inter Body
  • Cocktail bar  /  Bucharest

    Anticameră

    Venue site, without reservations

    Anticameră

    The decision you can see

The same components as the bistro, a different composition: an image across the whole screen, a drinks list laid out like a bar board, a wide band through the middle. A kit of sections is not a template, as long as the order and the rhythm are written again every time.

    What to watch

    • It opens on a full-screen image, not a headline beside a photo
    • The list reads like a board, dotted lines running to the price
    • Straight frames with a gilt outline, instead of the bistro's arches

    Palette

    • Charcoal #17151A
    • Brass #D8B067
    • Vermouth #8E2B32
    • Burnt gold #B98A45
    • Chalk #F0EAE0

    Typography

    • Oswald Headings
    • Inter Body
  • Architecture studio  /  Cluj-Napoca

    Rost

Services site, no prices and no cart

    Rost

    The decision you can see

A studio does not sell products, it sells a conversation. That is why no price appears anywhere and every section leads to the same form. The phases of work are written as promises you can check, not as decorative steps.

    What to watch

    • The quote form is filled in and confirmed inside the page
    • The five phases of work, each with what you hold at the end of it
    • The portfolio is large photography, with no text laid over the image

    Palette

    • Graphite #1E2022
    • Burnt brick #A85A3C
    • Limewash #F2F1EE
    • White #FFFFFF

    Typography

    • Archivo Headings
    • Inter Body
  • Studio ceramics  /  Cluj-Napoca

    Șamotă

    Shop with product pages

    Șamotă

    The decision you can see

The only concept with more than one page: from the grid you open the page of each piece and come back. Dimensions and care sit next to the price, because those are the questions that stop an order.

    What to watch

    • It navigates inside the frame: you open a product and return
    • A product page with dimensions, material and care
    • Eight categories and eight pieces, every one with a price

    Palette

    • Fired clay #7C6A52
    • Terracotta #A9763F
    • Unbleached linen #F3EFE8
    • Charcoal #241F1B

    Typography

    • Newsreader Headings
    • Inter Body

The businesses above are ours, not clients. That lets us carry every decision through to the end, with no calendar compromises, and show exactly the standard we hold on paid work. The photographs are freely licensed. The sites themselves are in Romanian, as the businesses would be.
