Cookie policy.

Cookies are small files a site leaves in your browser. We keep them to a minimum: nothing for advertising, nothing that follows you around the internet. In short, here is what is worth knowing.

Our position, without hedging

• We use no marketing or advertising cookies.
• We do not sell or pass on your data.
• The only optional thing is an analytics tool, and it starts only if you agree.

What we use

Strictly necessary

The ones without which the page does not work properly, such as remembering your choice about cookies so we do not ask on every visit. They do not identify you personally and need no consent; without them the site simply does not work.

Analytics: optional, only if you accept

We use Google Analytics to see general things: how many people visit, which pages they read, what kind of device they are on. It helps us make the site better, not identify you.

Important: it does not start on its own. On your first visit we ask. If you choose Decline, Google Analytics never loads and no analytics cookie is set. If you choose Accept, a few cookies are set (of the "_ga" and "_ga_*" kind) holding an anonymous identifier, so you are not counted twice. They last up to two years, and you can delete them whenever you want.

How you decide

• On your first visit you choose from the banner: Accept or Decline.
• Changed your mind? Clear the site data in your browser and we will ask again on your next visit.
• From your browser settings you can block or delete cookies at any time, for any site.

Where the analytics data goes

The analytics part is handled by Google. Data may be processed outside the European Union, including in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework to which Google is certified, and it is anonymised (we do not keep full IP addresses).
